Graham McQueen, who succeeds retiring director Peter Quinn, took up the post on Monday, 15th December, 2025. He joins the Trust from his previous role as Head of Delivery at Walking Scotland (formerly Paths for All) and has a wealth of experience in encouraging and enabling access to the countryside in Scotland. Commenting on his appointment, Graham said: I am delighted to be appointed as the Chief Executive for PKCT and am looking forward to working with the team to take the organisation forward, building on the significant success it has achieved under the leadership of my predecessor Peter Quinn and the Board of Trustees. My experience and passion for the outdoors and the countryside in this part of the world aligns strongly with the charity’s wonderful work to date and its ambitions for the future, and I’m excited to play my part in delivering on its objectives and working throughout Perth and Kinross. Stephen Woollard, chair of the PKCT, welcomed the appointment. He said: On behalf of the Trustees, we are pleased to welcome Graham to lead the Trust following the retirement of our previous CEO, Peter Quinn. Graham brings a wealth of experience and great enthusiasm to the role and we are all looking forward to working with him. Thanks to the support of our funders and our small but incredibly dedicated team of staff, our work across Perth and Kinross has been increasingly successful and effective in recent years. As we head into 2026, PKCT is going from strength to strength as an organisation and growing into a real force for good as it works towards fulfilling its mission to get people into the heart of the countryside and the countryside into the hearts of the people. We are therefore thrilled that Graham has joined us at what is a very exciting time for the Trust. Stephen added: At the same time, we would like to record our grateful thanks to retiring director Peter Quinn. Peter has been at the helm for more than six years and been a great advocate for change. The Trust has been transformed thanks to his vision, and his commitment to PKCT is greatly appreciated by us all. Our work to promote enjoyment of the countryside, encourage people to learn more about it and find ways to protect and care for it now and in the future will continue in the safe hands of Graham.
